-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Grandmothers molecules” 2004 In “Grandmothers molecules” the main aim was to integrate decoration in existing architecture. In “Grandmothers molecules” we agreed about only using white glazed porcelain spheres in different sizes, and that the decoration should be equal with the architecture.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "DEFORM 1 and 2" 1997 and 1998 -a cooperation with Gitte Jungersen, Ceramic Artist. www.gittejungersen.dk The aim was to succeed in making a sculptural expression based on the chemical processes in ceramic. Deform 1 is made of spheres in earthenware of different sizes (elements) , which have been over fired(event).
Deform 2 is made of cylinders in different sizes. Instead of working with the melting point as a parameter for deformation, this project has been using materials with different melting points as a parameter. The cylinders have been partly deformed, according to the different amounts of materials with a lower melting point, than the basic material; stoneware.
